Athletic Track paving over existing stone base

Background
The Academy of Warren is seeking proposals for the resurfacing of its athletic field track. The goal of this contract is to enhance the quality and safety of the athletic facilities, ensuring they meet current standards for use by students and the community. The project involves significant construction work, including grading, reshaping, and paving.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Grading and reshaping of the existing stone base.
2. Compacting and placing a new 3-inch asphalt surface (approximately 150 tons) on the track.
3. Striping for three racing lanes as per specifications.

All work must comply with applicable Federal, State, and Municipal codes and standards. Any disturbed or damaged grounds must be restored to the Academy's satisfaction before final payment.

Period of Performance
The project is expected to commence no less than seven days after issuance of a notice to proceed and must be completed by May 22, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Academy of Warren located at 13943 E 8 Mile Rd, Detroit, MI 48089.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide three references with their proposal. They are required to submit forms related to Prevailing Wage, Familial Relationships, School Safety compliance, and Iran Sanctions compliance with their bid packet. A bid bond of 5% of the project amount is required from each bidder, along with a performance and payment bond covering 100% of the bid amount upon contract award.
