Background
The School District of the City of Pontiac is seeking bids for asbestos abatement at Rogers Elementary School as part of preparations for upcoming renovations.
The goal of this contract is to safely remove hazardous materials prior to construction activities scheduled for June and July of 2026.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the removal and disposal of the following asbestos-containing materials from designated renovation areas:
asbestos thermal system insulation,
asbestos floor tile,
asbestos floor tile mastic,
interior door frames with asbestos caulk,
interior windows with asbestos caulk,
interior windows with asbestos glazing,
tagged fire doors, and
tagged fire door frames.
Additionally, non-asbestos laminate flooring and non-asbestos floor tile mastic will also be removed.
Period of Performance
The work is scheduled to be completed in June and July of 2026.
Place of Performance
Rogers Elementary School, 2600 Dexter Road, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a sworn statement disclosing any familial relationship with members of the Board of Education or the Superintendent as per MCL 380.1267.
Additionally, bidders must certify that they are not an Iran-linked business in accordance with MCL 129.313.
Bids must include notarized copies of these statements to be considered.
