Description

Asbestos Abatement
Background
Northville Public Schools is seeking sealed bids for an asbestos abatement project at Moraine Elementary School. The goal of this contract is to safely remove and dispose of asbestos materials prior to upcoming renovations, ensuring a safe environment for future construction activities.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the removal and disposal of the following asbestos-containing materials:

- Asbestos thermal system insulation
- Asbestos flooring
- Asbestos wall glue pods
- Basketball backboards with asbestos coating
- Exterior transite overhang
- Tagged fire doors
- Tagged fire door frames.

Period of Performance
The project is scheduled to be completed between April and June of 2026.

Place of Performance
Moraine Elementary School, Northville, Michigan.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a sworn statement disclosing any familial relationship with members of the Board of Education or the Superintendent as per MCL 380.1267. Additionally, bidders must provide a sworn statement certifying that they are not an Iran-linked business in compliance with MCL 129.313. Bids without these documents will not be accepted.
