Background
Vassar Public Schools is seeking bids from trade contractors for the project involving the installation of gutters and downspouts at Central Elementary School. The goal of this contract is to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the school’s drainage system. R.C. Hendrick & Son, Inc. has been designated as the Construction Manager for this project.

Work Details
The work scope includes providing aluminum gutters and downspouts as specified in the project manual, drawings, and any addenda issued prior to the bid date. Key requirements include:

- Supplying pre-finished aluminum gutters and downspouts.
- Providing data on prefabricated components.
- Indicating locations, configurations, jointing methods, fastening methods, and installation details.
- Submitting samples illustrating component design.
- Fabricating sections square and true.
- Ensuring watertight seals on accessories.
- Verifying existing conditions before starting work.
- Matching existing sizes and colors of gutters and downspouts.
- Ensuring all downspout extensions extend a minimum of 6 feet from the building.

Period of Performance
The contract work is scheduled to commence on July 14, 2025, and conclude by August 8, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Central Elementary School located at 425 Division St., Vassar, MI 48768.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a familial disclosure statement in compliance with MCL 380.1267. Additionally, each bid exceeding $50,000 must include a certified check or bid bond of at least 5% of the base bid sum. Bidders are encouraged to use minority subcontractors where possible.
