Access Control RFP

Background
North Muskegon Public Schools (the “District”) is seeking proposals to upgrade and expand access control systems for increased building security. The District is looking to improve physical security by combining access control systems with the security camera system, reducing administrative overhead with role-based access control, and upgrading/adding access control in secured vestibules. The new system is expected to support 100+ doors. Additionally, the District hopes to set up a more comprehensive suite of security solutions, including video management and analytics; Integration to Security Cameras, Intercom Systems, Access Controls, and Communications over multiple projects.

Work Details
The contractor is required to upgrade and expand access control systems for increased building security. This includes installing new hardware, adding sensors and monitoring to every exterior door, monitoring that these doors are shut and latched, as well as setting up automatic alerts & reports. The contractor must add readers to an additional 4 doors, install door position sensors on all exterior doors, and set up a Genetec Security Center hosted on premise setup with specific presets. The contractor must also be trained/certified by the manufacturer on the system being installed and provide a warranty on the installation for a minimum of one year. All work must be done in a workmanship like manner following applicable standards and industry best practices such as SIA, TIA, & BICSI.

Period of Performance
The desired installation timeline is before the end of 2024.
