Background
The State of Michigan, through its Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) and State Facilities Administration, is issuing a contract for the replacement of the East Side Boiler at the Carson City Correctional Facility. This project aims to enhance the facility's heating capabilities and ensure compliance with current standards. The contract is developed based on the MICHSPEC™ Division 0 Specifications, which have been refined from the FORMSPEC™ Michigan Model and have undergone thorough technical and legal reviews.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the complete replacement of the East Side Boiler at the Carson City Correctional Facility located at 10274 E Boyer Rd., Carson City, MI 4881. The work includes demolition of existing boiler systems, installation of new condensing boilers, hydronic piping, HVAC ductwork, and associated electrical work as outlined in the technical specifications. Specific tasks include:
- Removal of existing boiler systems and related components.
- Installation of new condensing boilers (specific models to be determined).
- Installation of hydronic piping systems.
- Installation of HVAC ductwork and accessories.
- Electrical connections for new equipment.
- Compliance with all applicable safety and environmental regulations.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is expected to commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and will continue until all work is completed satisfactorily. The anticipated completion date is March 7, 2025.
