Provide courses in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification

Background
The contract is issued by the Department of Health and Human Services, specifically the Commissioner Office. The goal of this contract is to provide Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification courses to enhance process improvement and efficiency within the department.

The selected vendor, University of Maine System, dba Professional Development Programs, will deliver tailored training to Department staff.

Work Details
The contract involves providing in-person courses for Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification during the Fall and Spring semesters. Participants will earn an internationally recognized Green Belt certification.

The training will be customized to align with the Department's strategic objectives by selecting relevant processes and projects. The contract amendment allows for two additional rounds of training, with a total cost of $10,800 per round for up to 20 participants, significantly lower than the individual rate of $1,380 per person.

Period of Performance
The original contract started on August 1, 2023, with an effective date of July 1, 2024. The previous end date was June 30, 2024; however, it has been amended to extend the end date to June 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The training will be conducted in Portland, Maine.
