Maine State Police Uniform

Background
The State of Maine, through its Department of Administrative and Financial Services and the Office of State Procurement Services (OSPS), is seeking quotations for the provision of uniforms for the Maine State Police. This RFQ is aimed at fulfilling the uniform needs of the Department of Public Safety, ensuring that the police force is equipped with high-quality apparel that meets specific standards.

Work Details
The contract involves supplying the following items:

- 300 long sleeve shirts (Blauer model/part number 8481MESP)
- 300 short sleeve shirts (Blauer model/part number 8486MESP)
- 600 pairs of pants.

All garments must be manufactured to ISO 9001 quality assurance standards. The long sleeve shirts are to be made from a fabric blend of 74% Polyester and 26% Wool, featuring a T400 Twill weave with two-way stretch. The specifications include detailed requirements for fabric properties, construction techniques, and design features such as military creases, reflective trims, and customization options. Samples must be submitted by bidders for evaluation. All items must be delivered to the Department of Public Safety in Augusta, ME.

Period of Performance
The initial period of performance is from September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2026. There are optional extension periods available for up to four additional years.

Place of Performance
The uniforms will be delivered to the Department of Public Safety located at 36 Hospital Street, Augusta, ME.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a quote listing the exact part numbers requested for each item. They must also submit evidence that the items are currently in stock and provide equivalency documentation if proposing alternate products. A notarized Code of Conduct Affidavit must accompany bids for all clothing items. Bidders should not be debarred or suspended from bidding on government contracts and must certify compliance with various legal requirements.
