EUT School Nurse for ECS and KES schools

Background
The Department of Education in the Unorganized Territories (EUT) is seeking to provide essential nursing services to students in the Edmunds Consolidated School and Kingman Elementary School located in Penobscot and Washington Counties.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that children residing in these areas receive appropriate healthcare services as mandated by state law, which allows eligible children to attend schools and receive necessary special education and related services without charge.

Work Details
The contractor will provide nursing services as a Registered Nurse (RN) for the EUT schools.

The selected vendor, Beverly Bubar, is a fully licensed RN in Penobscot County and will deliver services on an as-needed basis. The contract specifies a fee of $30 per hour for these services, consistent with previous providers.

These nursing services are critical due to the lack of licensed nursing staff within EUT-operated schools. Services may include consultation, evaluation, and therapy as required for school operations.

Period of Performance
The contract is effective from August 15, 2023, to August 14, 2026.

Place of Performance
Services will primarily be performed at Edmunds Consolidated School and Kingman Elementary School in Penobscot and Washington Counties, Maine.

Bidder Requirements
To qualify for this contract, the vendor must possess an active Registered Nurse license issued by the State of Maine, have completed a criminal history record check (CHRC) through the Maine Department of Education, and maintain liability insurance.
