Background

Work Details
The contract involves the establishment and maintenance of food plots and a pollinator plot at various locations including Macwahoc Stream WMA and Bud Leavitt WMA.
Specific tasks include:
- Establishment of food plots at Macwahoc Stream WMA to benefit wintering white-tailed deer, which includes planting, lime/fertilizer application, and two mowings.
- Maintenance on three plots at Page Farm Unit for a variety of wildlife species, involving replanting one plot, herbicide application on two plots, lime/fertilizer application, and mowing.
- Maintenance on Bud Leavitt WMA with two lime/fertilizer applications, herbicide application, and three mowings.
- Establishment of a pollinator plot at Bud Leavitt WMA to support pollinating insects and game birds, which includes plot preparation, planting, and lime/fertilizer application.

Period of Performance
The contract is proposed to start on May 1, 2025, and end on September 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations in Maine including Macwahoc Stream WMA, Page Farm Unit, and Bud Leavitt WMA.
