Background
The Maine Arts Commission is seeking to create a Wabanaki Veterans Memorial Sculpture in Capitol Park, Augusta, ME. The project involves working with the Wabanaki sculptor Tim Shay and Nibezun to oversee the creation of a monument consisting of seven large standing stones in a half circle facing east, aligned with the position of the sun during the summer solstice.
