Background

Work Details
The contractor, Gulf of Maine Lobster Foundation, will provide administration of vessel services necessary for the project titled 'Enhancing acoustic telemetry coverage in coastal Maine to monitor fish movements in a changing climate.' This includes surveying tagged fish movements in the coastal waters of the Gulf of Maine. The data collected will support fisheries management and research initiatives related to various taxa. The contract amount is $102,532.50.

Period of Performance
The contract is proposed to start on March 12, 2025, and end on March 1, 2027.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in the coastal waters of the Gulf of Maine.

Bidder Requirements
The vendor selected for this contract is Gulf of Maine Lobster Foundation, which has been justified as a single source vendor due to its unique capabilities and established history with the DMR. The GOMLF has agreed to charge an indirect rate of 8.5%, which is considered fair and reasonable compared to the time and effort it saves for DMR.
