Background
The City of Baltimore, through the Department of Public Works, is seeking bids for Water Contract No. 1399, which involves water infrastructure replacement at various locations. The project aims to improve the water distribution system by replacing and upgrading existing water mains, valves, fittings, fire hydrants, meter settings, and meter vaults. Additionally, it includes the renewal and replacement of existing water services and restoration of sidewalk, curb, and gutter as required.

Work Details
The principal items of work for this contract include cleaning and mortar lining of existing water mains and/or replacement of existing water mains with new ductile iron pipes of various sizes. It also involves the replacement/installation of valves, fittings, and appurtenances; fire hydrants; small (residential) meter settings and meter vaults; renewal and replacement of existing water services; and restoration of sidewalk, curb and gutter. Roadway paving will be carried out as required.
