WC 1282-Water Main Replacement and Rehabilitation at Franklin Square Neighborhood & Vicinity

Background
The City of Baltimore's Department of Public Works is issuing this contract to replace and rehabilitate water mains in the Franklin Square Neighborhood and surrounding areas. The goal of this contract is to improve the water infrastructure, ensuring reliable service and compliance with safety standards.

Work Details
The principal items of work for this contract include:

- Abandonment and/or removal of existing water mains
- Installation of various sized new ductile iron pipes, valves, fittings, and appurtenances
- Installation of pipe restraints
- Replacement/installation of fire hydrants
- Small (residential) meter settings and meter vaults
- Renewal and replacement of existing water services
- Installation of temporary bypass piping
- Implementation of erosion and sediment control measures
- Maintenance of traffic measures
- Sidewalk restoration
- Curb and gutter work
- Roadway paving as required.
