Warrior Mountain Old Site Demolition

Background
The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) is issuing this CATS+ Task Order Request for Proposals (TORFP) to dismantle an old radio monopole and concrete block shelter building located in the Warrior Mountain Wildlife Management Area, Allegany County.

The project aims to ensure that the dated equipment is disposed of in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while restoring the site to its natural appearance. This initiative fulfills a Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and DoIT.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1) Develop a site demolition and restoration plan for approval.
2) Install soil erosion control measures per the approved plan.
3) Check for underground utilities at the site.
4) Remove and dispose of the chain link fence surrounding the site.
5) Remove and dispose of the cinderblock building.
6) Remove and dispose of the slab foundation of the building.
7) Dismantle and dispose of a 100-foot tall monopole, including all antennas and feed lines.
8) Remove and dispose of the concrete slab foundation of the monopole, ensuring backfilling with clean fill dirt.
9) Remove four concrete piling foundations from an old fire tower, backfilling as necessary.
10) Grade the entire site to match its original appearance.
11) Seed and straw the disturbed area with perennial rye grass.
12) Remove soil erosion controls after restoration is complete.
13) Provide gravel to reinforce access roads for heavy truck traffic during operations.
14) Repair any road damage caused by heavy equipment.

Period of Performance
The work should be completed within ninety (90) days from the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Warrior Mountain Wildlife Management Area, located in Allegany County, Maryland.
