Background
The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA), part of the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT), is responsible for ensuring mobility for Maryland residents and road users. This contract aims to secure comprehensive janitorial services for the MVA Largo Branch to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the facility.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, equipment, materials, and supplies to perform janitorial services at the MVA Largo Branch, which encompasses approximately 28,900 square feet. Services include daily cleaning tasks such as emptying trash containers, vacuuming carpets, dusting surfaces, cleaning restrooms, and maintaining lobby areas.

Specific tasks include:
- Daily: Emptying trash containers, cleaning and disinfecting fixtures in restrooms, vacuuming carpets in common areas and offices, dusting desks and furniture.
- Weekly: Scrubbing floors with germicidal cleaner.
- Monthly: Spray buffing vinyl tile floors.
- Annually: Shampooing carpets and cleaning windows. The contractor must also provide a Day Porter during business hours to assist with upkeep.

Period of Performance
The contract is set for a duration of two years from the start date.

Place of Performance
Janitorial services will be performed at the MVA Largo Branch located at 10251 Central Avenue, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772-1303.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be certified small businesses under the Governor’s Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs (GOSBA) Small Business Reserve Program. They must have at least three years of experience providing janitorial services to government or large-scale private facilities. Additionally, bidders must provide proof of insurance coverage including Commercial General Liability and Workers’ Compensation.
