VC-003-250-003 - Roof Replacement of the Admin Building - Hurlock Maryland

Background
The contract is issued by the State of Maryland for the roof replacement of the Administrative Building located at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock, Maryland.

The project aims to ensure the integrity and functionality of the building's roofing system, which is essential for protecting the structure and its occupants. This solicitation is designated as a Small Business Reserve (SBR) only solicitation, encouraging participation from small businesses.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for removing and disposing of existing roofing systems and components, including membrane, insulation, base sheets, flexible and metal flashings, and associated materials.

Additionally, the contractor will remove abandoned rooftop units and miscellaneous penetrations. The scope includes repairing or replacing existing deteriorated steel deck, providing roof access ladders, and installing wood blocking at perimeter edges, walls, fascia's, and penetrations. New multi-layered insulation systems must be provided throughout the roof areas as specified in the project manual.

Period of Performance
The work must be completed within 180 calendar days from the start date of the contract.

The contract will be performed at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery located at 6827 East New Market Ellwood Road, Hurlock, MD 21643.
