Trash Removal and Recycling Services

Background
Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) is located in La Plata, Maryland, and serves a growing population of 28,162 students across 39 schools and seven educational centers. The mission of CCPS is to provide an academically challenging education that builds character and prepares students for life in a safe learning environment.

The agency is seeking bids for Trash Removal and Recycling Services to support its operations.

Work Details
The Vendor/Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, insurance, contractor’s licenses, subcontractors, supervision, transportation, equipment, and other resources required for Trash Removal and Recycling Services at various CCPS properties. Services will be provided on an 'as needed' basis as directed by the CCPS Supervisor of Operations.

The contract may involve multiple awards if deemed beneficial to CCPS. Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations is mandatory.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period is one (1) year starting from August 1, 2026, with the option to renew for four (4) additional one-year terms based on performance evaluations.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various properties owned or operated by Charles County Public Schools in La Plata, Maryland.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation. Certified Minority Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond. Bidders must comply with all local laws and regulations and are required to submit a list of any subcontractors proposed for use within ten (10) days after receiving the Notice of Award.
