Town Lawn Mowing and Maintenance Services

Background
The Town of Riverdale Park, Maryland, is seeking bids for lawn mowing and maintenance services to maintain the aesthetic and functional quality of various public properties. The goal is to ensure that these areas are kept in an attractive condition throughout the contract period, aligning with the Town's mission to enhance community spaces.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive lawn care services including but not limited to: mowing, edging, pruning, fertilizing, watering, mulching, weeding, pest management, and plant installation. Specific tasks include:

1. Monthly visual inspections of landscape areas from April to September for pest problems.
2. Regular maintenance of plant materials and turf areas.
3. Seasonal flower installations at designated locations such as Town Hall.
4. Removal of leaves and debris from all landscaped areas weekly.
5. Turf edging and trimming around all landscape features.
6. Compliance with environmental standards by using non-polluting devices when feasible.
7. Maintenance of mulch depth in planting areas and tree wells.
8. Spring and fall clean-up activities as specified in the contract.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on April 1, 2025, and will continue for three years until March 31, 2028, with the option for two one-year extensions based on performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout the Town of Riverdale Park, Maryland.
