Shredding Services at Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center

Background
Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center (CTPHC), part of the Maryland Department of Health (MDH), is a maximum-security psychiatric hospital focused on the evaluation and treatment of mental illness. The hospital aims to facilitate recovery through a structured program that includes a graduated release process. This Request for Bids (RFB) seeks to procure shredding services as part of their operational needs, particularly during an ongoing large construction project at the facility.

Work Details
The contractor will provide labor, equipment, and materials necessary for shredding and disposing of regular and sensitive paper records from CTPHC. Specific requirements include:

1. Secure shredding practices with certificates of destruction provided for each job.
2. Provision of locked containers (minimum 25, approximately 45-gallon size) for paper storage until shredding.
3. Use of commercial trucks and shredding equipment to ensure timely service.
4. Shredding services to be conducted twice per month, with additional services available as needed.
5. Types of paper to be shredded include copier paper, computer paper, fax paper, ledger paper, card stock, various envelopes, and more.
6. Services must be performed during normal business hours (Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.), excluding State holidays.

The contract will commence on September 1, 2025, and continue until August 31, 2027.
