Salisbury Janitorial Services Contract

Background
The W. Paul Martin District Court/Multi-Service Center (DC/MSC) is a 226,410 square foot facility located in Salisbury, Maryland, managed by the Department of General Services of the State of Maryland.

The center serves as a hub for twenty-three agencies and approximately three hundred and fifty employees, catering to around twelve hundred clients daily. The goal of this contract is to provide comprehensive janitorial services to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the facility.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies necessary for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cleaning tasks at the W. Paul Martin DC/MSC. Specific tasks include:
- Cleaning approximately 111,700 square feet of various flooring types (carpeted, resilient tile, ceramic tile).
- Maintaining 24 restrooms.
- Cleaning 11 holding cells.
- Servicing 4 elevators and 4 stairwells.
- Cleaning numerous windows and light fixtures.

The contractor must ensure that all cleaning tasks are performed to specified standards and frequencies outlined in the solicitation. Excluded areas from cleaning include mechanical rooms and electrical rooms except for designated restrooms. The contractor must also provide a full-time Day Porter for daytime maintenance tasks.

Period of Performance
The contract is set for a duration of three months.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the W. Paul Martin District Court/Multi-Service Center located at 201 Baptist Street, Suite 18, Salisbury, Maryland 21801.

Bidder Requirements
The contractor must have all necessary commercial equipment operational before the contract start date. They are required to submit background check forms for employees assigned to the contract prior to commencement. The contractor must also maintain commercial general liability insurance with specified coverage limits and provide proof of insurance upon award.
