Background
The Spring Grove Hospital Center (SGHC), part of the Maryland Department of Health, is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) to procure services and commodities for the removal, replacement, and installation of kitchen equipment.
The goal is to enhance the efficiency and volume of nutritional meal preparation while reducing overtime for dietary employees.
SGHC is a Joint Commission-accredited facility providing mental health services in Maryland.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for removing existing kitchen equipment and installing three (3) new commercial combination ovens and two (2) blast chillers with heating capabilities.
Specific tasks include:
1. Remove one existing commercial combination oven and install one new within 30 days after Notice to Proceed.
2. Remove two existing combination ovens and two blast chillers, replacing them with two new combination ovens and two new blast chillers within 90 days after Notice to Proceed.
3. Provide warranties: a minimum of 2 years on parts/labor and 5 years on steam generators.
4. Ensure compliance with health code requirements during installation.
5. Supervise licensed professionals for installation, start-up, and training on equipment use.
6. Provide third-party electrical inspections as needed.

Period of Performance
The contract duration is set for three (3) months with no option periods.

The work will be performed at the Central Kitchen located at Spring Grove Hospital Center, 55 Wade Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228.
