This project consists of the Contractor providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance, etc., necessary to remove defective septic tank and abandon drain field, install new septic tank complete with Best Available Technology (BAT) 1000g pump pit unit, and disposal field at 25420 Rosedale Manor Ln, Hollywood, MD 20636, Greenwell Cottage House, St. Mary's County.
Background
The State of Maryland Department of Natural Resources is issuing a solicitation for the replacement of the septic system at the Ranger Station located in Greenwell State Park. The project aims to ensure compliance with environmental standards and improve sanitation facilities at this state park, which serves both recreational and educational purposes.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, equipment, materials, supplies, and insurance to complete the following tasks:

1. Remove the defective septic tank and abandon the existing drain field.
2. Install a new septic tank equipped with Best Available Technology (BAT) including a 1000-gallon pump pit unit.
3. Construct a new disposal field at the specified location: 25420 Rosedale Manor Lane, Hollywood, MD 20636.

The project includes backfilling and compacting disturbed areas with approximately 8 cubic yards of topsoil, filling disturbed areas with about 10 cubic yards of backfill, and leveling the new septic system with approximately 15 cubic yards of stone dust.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be completed within 90 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed.
