Project No. 1410 On-Call Maintenance Services For City Of Baltimore Dpw - Water Facilities Division

Background
The City of Baltimore Water Facilities Division (WFD) has been authorized to request the Office of Boards and Commissions (OBC) to advertise Project No. 1410 for on-call maintenance services from qualified construction/maintenance firms.
The goal is to ensure reliable operation and maintenance of water facilities, which is critical for the city's water supply management.

Work Details
The Contractor will provide on-call repairs and improvements at the following locations:
- Ashburton Water Filtration Plant
- Montebello Water Filtration Plant #1
- Montebello Water Filtration Plant #2
- Outlying pump stations.

The scope of work includes:
- Modifying underground and above-ground piping
- Adding equipment to existing facilities
- Repairing or upgrading existing process equipment
- Installing systems
- Repairing and replacing motors, electrical controls, and pumps.

Specific tasks include:
- Replacement and repairs of large diameter valves and valve actuators
- Filter’s underdrain system including air scour system
- Rapid mixers
- Chemical storage and feed equipment
- Testing, condition assessment, calibration for pumps, motors, large meters, high voltage equipment
- Installation and repair of SCADA systems
- Maintenance of water facility equipment including electrical work, motors, pumps, pressure transducers
- Temporary bypass pumping during major repairs
- Miscellaneous concrete work for process equipment modifications.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of three years with an option to extend for one additional year at the City’s discretion.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at various locations in Baltimore, MD including:
- Ashburton Water Filtration Plant (3001 Druid Park Dr.)
- Montebello Water Filtration Plant #1 (3901 Hillen Rd.)
- Montebello Water Filtration Plant #2 (3900 Hillen Rd.)
- Outlying pump stations.
