Post Remediation Verification Services for Mold Abatement at Clifton T Perkins Hospital Center

Background
Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center (CTPHC), part of the Maryland Department of Health (MDH), is a maximum-security psychiatric hospital focused on the evaluation and treatment of mental illness. The hospital is currently undergoing a significant construction project that will last for the next eighteen months. The goal of this contract is to procure third-party post remediation verification services following mold abatement to ensure the effectiveness of previous remediation efforts.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide third-party post remediation verification services, which include visual inspections, surface sampling, and air sampling in specific areas that have undergone mold remediation under a separate contract. The base bid services include:

- 1 air sample test per room
- 2 swab sample tests per room

Site visit costs will cover up to two visits for sample collection. The identified areas for testing include various shower rooms and other specified locations within the facility. Upon award, the contractor must begin testing within 24 hours and provide a written report of findings within 72 hours of testing, including recommendations and documentation verifying safe air quality levels.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence within 24 hours upon award and will continue for approximately 18 months.

Bidder Requirements
This is a Small Business Reserve Procurement limited to certified small business vendors as defined by Maryland law. Bidders must be licensed as General Contractors in Maryland and certified in Industrial Hygiene, Indoor Air Quality, and Mold Inspection. They must provide at least three references demonstrating relevant experience and must not have completed any fungal growth remediation within the last 12 months.
