Description
Background
The University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP) is seeking to award one or more on-call contractors for emergency clean-up services. The objective of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to ensure that the university has access to qualified contractors who can provide necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision for emergency clean-up projects as needed. This initiative supports the university's mission to maintain a safe and functional environment across its campuses.
Work Details
Contractors will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, supervision, and other resources required for emergency clean-up services. This includes but is not limited to:
- Fire and flood restoration
- Mold remediation
- Sewage clean-up
- Trauma clean-up
The work will be performed on an 'as needed' basis as projects arise; however, the frequency of use cannot be predicted by the university. All work must comply with the University of Maryland's General Conditions of the Contract and relevant specifications.
Period of Performance
The initial contract period is two (2) years from the date of award, with an option for four (4) additional one-year renewals at the university's discretion. Labor rate increases may be negotiated only at the time of renewal.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the University of Maryland College Park and its Service Center locations.
Bidder Requirements
This RFP is designated as a Certified Small Business Procurement. Contractors must be registered in the Maryland Small Business Reserve Program to be eligible for award. Additionally, proposers must submit proof of current licensing as required by Maryland law.
