North Beach Coastal Resilience Project

Background
The Town of North Beach, Maryland is seeking design proposals from qualified consultants for the North Beach Coastal Resilience Project. This initiative aims to address and mitigate damage caused by coastal flooding and wave action to approximately 220 feet of shoreline.

The project is driven by the anticipated impacts of sea level rise and climate change, highlighting the urgency of implementing effective and sustainable solutions to protect vulnerable waterfront areas. The selected design consultant will be responsible for producing comprehensive and biddable plans and specifications for construction.

Work Details
The consultant will provide the following services:
1) Develop a Final Design Plan for the coastal resilience project, including a presentation or workshop for the Department of Public Works (DPW) and key stakeholders.

The proposal must include detailed breakdowns of costs associated with labor, materials, supervision, and equipment necessary for completion. The total bid should reflect all associated project costs without upfront fees or deposits.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period will commence upon receipt of a written Notice to Proceed from the Town of North Beach, with a completion date no later than six months from that date.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Town of North Beach, specifically addressing the shoreline located at 9200 Atlantic Ave, North Beach, MD 20714.
