MT-00211372 On-Call Plumbing and Maintenance Services for MDTS Southern Region

Background
The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is an independent agency that operates multiple toll facilities across Maryland, including office buildings, maintenance shops, bridges, tunnels, and turnpike roads.

The reliability of plumbing systems is crucial for the normal functioning of MDTA facilities, as failures can pose life/safety hazards. This contract aims to secure on-call repairs and preventative maintenance services for plumbing equipment and systems at MDTA's Southern Region Facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, services, and transportation necessary for plumbing services including but not limited to: on-call repairs and preventative maintenance for plumbing fixtures (faucets, water closets, urinals, shower heads), lines (supply, drain), septic tanks, grinder pumps, holding tanks, and related equipment.

The contractor must develop a Preventative Maintenance Plan (PMP) and Checklist (CL) within 90 days of the Notice to Proceed. All work must comply with applicable codes and standards. The contractor is responsible for all costs associated with labor, parts, materials, supplies, and waste management.

Emergency service calls must be responded to within 15 minutes via phone and on-site within 2 hours. Non-emergency service calls must be responded to within 1 hour via phone and on-site within 4 hours.

Period of Performance
The contract has a base period of three years with one two-year option period.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various MDTA Southern Region Facilities including the William Preston Lane Memorial Bridge, Intercounty Connector (ICC), and Harry W. Nice Memorial Bridge.
