Background
Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center (CTPHC), part of the Maryland Department of Health (MDH), is a maximum-security psychiatric hospital that provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for mental illness. Work Details
The Contractor shall provide mobile x-ray services as requested by physicians and/or physician assistants, including:
- Responding to requests for x-ray services within specified timeframes:
- X-Ray: within 8-12 hours
- STAT X-Ray: within 1-2 hours
- Urgent X-Ray: within 2-4 hours
- Ultrasound/Echocardiogram: within 24-48 hours
- Providing professional interpretations and written results via fax or secure online website. Results will consist of multiple views of one organ or joint considered as one exam.
- Conducting Wet Readings of STAT or Urgent X-Rays within two hours and notifying CTPHC of critical results within that timeframe.
- Providing a monthly summary of services listing patients and tests to the CTPHC Contract Monitor.
- Supplying all necessary equipment, transportation, drivers, delivery, setup, maintenance, and service coverage.
Period of Performance
The contract will be effective from December 1, 2025, through November 30, 2028, with a total cost not exceeding $50,000.

Services will be performed at Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center located at 8450 Dorsey Run Rd., Jessup, MD 20794.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered with the Maryland Board of Physicians as a Radiographer, Limited Scope X-ray Machine Operator (LXMO), or Radiology Assistant. They must provide documentation including licenses or certifications issued by the MBP and a state or county business license. The x-ray machines used must be registered with the Maryland Department of the Environment’s Radiation Program and provide maintenance reports if requested. Bidders must also submit at least three references attesting to their experience in x-ray services.
