Mdta Information Technology (IT) Systems Operations, Maintenance, And Support

Background
The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) and the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) have issued a Task Order Request for Proposals (TORFP) for Information Technology (IT) Systems Operations, Maintenance, and Support. MDTA is an independent State agency established in 1971 to finance, construct, manage, operate, and improve the State’s toll facilities. The agency has eight toll facilities, two turnpikes, two tunnels, and four bridges to help keep traffic moving in Maryland. The goal of this contract is to obtain a broad range of qualified technical resources to perform IT systems operation, maintenance, and support for MDTA.

Work Details
The TORFP is issued to acquire services including Service Desk and Desktop/Field Support for eight resources (including three designated as Key Personnel), Technical Systems Support for two resources (including one designated as Key Personnel), with an option to add up to one additional Technical Systems Support resource.

The TORFP outlines the current environment including end-user computing, data center equipment, operating systems, web browsing software, IT security measures, and productivity software. It also specifies the responsibilities and tasks for Service Desk and Desktop/Field Support and Technical Systems Support. Additionally, it requires the TO Contractor to ensure continuing education/training opportunities for TO Contractor Personnel associated with the technologies currently utilized or expected to be implemented by the Department.

Period of Performance
The Task Order is of Time and Material type with a three-year base period and two one-year option periods commencing from the Notice to Proceed (NTP) Effective Date.

Place of Performance
The primary place of performance is designated at MDTA's location at 2310 Broening Highway, Baltimore, MD 21224.
