MARC Odenton Station Renovation

Background
The Maryland Transit Administration is issuing a contract for the renovation of the MARC Odenton Station. The goal of this contract is to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the existing station building, ensuring it meets modern standards while preserving its historical significance.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Selective demolition of existing structures as needed.
2. Removal and replacement of architectural finishes throughout the station.
3. Interior and exterior painting to refresh the building's appearance.
4. Replacement of interior doors and window glazing to improve energy efficiency and security.
5. Replacement of exterior doors, signage, gutters, and downspouts to ensure proper drainage and accessibility.
6. Removal and replacement of plumbing fixtures to meet current codes.
7. Removal and replacement of electrical fixtures for safety and efficiency improvements.
8. Removal and replacement of mechanical equipment as necessary for operational effectiveness.
9. Installation of a temporary partition, counter, teller window, and electrical/telecom/data equipment for a temporary ticket office in the existing historic bank building on site, with removal upon project completion and repair of affected surfaces to original condition.
10. Furnishing, installing, and maintaining temporary sanitary facilities (ADA accessible trailer), with removal upon project completion.
11. Installation of a permanent power generator to ensure reliable energy supply for station operations.
12. Installation of drainage pipes and basins connected to existing storm drainage inlets, including repair of existing curb and gutter after installation.
13. Installation of temporary fencing, permanent safety fence, and gate for site security during construction.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed by August 27, 2024.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the MARC Odenton Station located at 1400 Odenton Road, Odenton, MD 21113.
