Background
The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) is issuing this Task Order Request for Proposals (TORFP) to select a contractor for Mainframe Disaster Recovery Services.

The DPSCS provides system operation support for various information systems and networking interfaces for criminal justice agencies. The goal of this contract is to ensure the continuity of operations and the restoration of data processing services in the event of a disaster affecting the Department's mainframe computing environment.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a fully functional Disaster Recovery Facility (Hot Site) that is staffed 24/7, capable of recovering the Department’s mainframe operating environment within 24 hours of a disaster notification.

Services include:
1. Twice-per-year disaster recovery testing, including a 40-hour test and 8 hours of preparation.
2. System restoration from encrypted tapes using an SKLM Encryption server provided by the Department.
3. A secure portal for documentation and information sharing between the contractor and the Department.
4. Staffing requirements include one IBM Systems Programmer, one Wide Area Network Engineer/Technician, one Local Area Network Engineer/Technician, and one Customer Support Representative.
5. The contractor must possess specific mainframe components such as IBM zBC12 processors, IBM tape libraries, and network equipment like Cisco routers and switches.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of one year, starting from the date of award.

Place of Performance
The primary place of performance will be at the contractor's facilities.
