Maa-Co-25-008 Roadway Canopy Repairs At Bwi

Background
The Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA) is issuing this solicitation for the BWI Roadway Canopy Repairs project at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. The goal of this contract is to address and repair fire-damaged components of the roadway canopy, ensuring safety and functionality at a critical transportation hub.

Work Details
The work under this contract includes:

A. Demolition of Fire-Damaged Canopy Components:
1. Polycarbonate-panel roof assemblies with associated joints and flashings.
2. Illuminated panel signage.
3. Electrical components.

B. Cleaning of Canopy Components to Remain:
1. Clean hardened plastic debris from steel structure, concrete pavers, stainless-steel gutter, and other components.
2. Clean smoke stains from items to remain.
3. Pressure-wash existing polycarbonate-panel roof assemblies to remain.
4. Clear debris from storm piping and gutters.

C. Replace structured-polycarbonate-panel assemblies and related components as indicated on Drawings.

D. Replace snow guards as required in the affected area.

E. Re-paint existing items, including storm piping and structural steel.

Period of Performance
The contract duration is set for 275 calendar days from the date determined after completion of the approved construction schedule.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
