Kemp Mill Branch Janitorial Services

Background
The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) is responsible for ensuring mobility for Maryland residents and road users, including licensing drivers and managing various vehicle services.

This Invitation for Bids (IFB) seeks a contractor to provide comprehensive janitorial services at the MVA Office in Kemp Mill, ensuring a clean and safe environment for both employees and the public.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all equipment, labor, materials, and supplies necessary to perform janitorial services as specified in the General Cleaning Instructions. The scope includes:
- Daily cleaning tasks such as emptying trash containers, vacuuming carpeted areas, dusting surfaces, cleaning restrooms, and maintaining cleanliness in common areas.
- Specific responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and disinfecting fixtures in restrooms.
- Vacuuming carpets and mopping vinyl floors.
- Maintaining cleanliness of break rooms and kitchen areas.
- Performing additional scheduled tasks such as shampooing carpets once a year and stripping/refinishing vinyl flooring twice a year.
- Handling bodily fluids cleanup following CDC standards when necessary.

The contractor must also provide all necessary cleaning agents compliant with Maryland Green Purchasing Committee’s specifications.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a base term of three (3) years with no renewal option period.

Place of Performance
Janitorial services will be performed at the MVA Branch Office located at 1327 Lamberton Drive, Silver Spring, MD 20902.
