KB-3020-0000 Curtis Creek Drawbridge Rehabilitation and Resiliency Project

Background
The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is issuing this contract for the Curtis Creek Drawbridge Rehabilitation and Resiliency Project, located along the Inner and Outer Loop of I-695 at the Curtis Creek Drawbridges within the Francis Scott Key Bridge Facility.

The goal of this project is to perform deck, superstructure, and lighting rehabilitation work on both drawbridges to ensure their continued operation as part of MDTA’s ongoing system preservation efforts.

Work Details
The work includes comprehensive rehabilitation of the drawbridge structures, focusing on the deck, superstructure, and lighting systems.

Specific tasks may include but are not limited to:
- Repairing or replacing structural components
- Resurfacing bridge decks
- Upgrading lighting systems for improved visibility and safety
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and engineering standards.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to be performed by June 24, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be conducted at the Curtis Creek Drawbridges located in Baltimore and Anne Arundel Counties and Baltimore City.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders are encouraged to include Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) in their proposals. Contractors must comply with federal regulations regarding wage rates as outlined in the Davis-Bacon Act.

Additionally, bidders must provide certifications regarding their business status (e.g., corporation or partnership) and ensure they are registered with the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation.
