Janitorial services in Caroline County for SHA for 2 years

Background
The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) State Highway Administration (SHA) is seeking bids for janitorial services at the Denton Maintenance Shop located at 508 Caroline Street, Denton, Maryland, 21629.

The goal of this contract is to maintain a clean, hygienic, and orderly environment that reflects favorably on the State and its customers. This bid is reserved for small businesses.

Work Details
The contractor will provide janitorial services twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays, with a minimum of 6 labor hours required per cleaning session.

This can be fulfilled by one person working 6 hours or two people working 3 hours each. The facility is open for cleaning between 8:00 AM and 2:30 PM. The services include daily, monthly, and annual cleaning tasks such as:
- Emptying trash receptacles
- Vacuuming carpeted areas
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Cleaning restrooms (including disinfecting sinks, urinals, and toilets)
- Dusting surfaces
- High dusting/cleaning light fixtures and vents
- Cleaning windows and doors
- Maintaining cleanliness in the janitor closet/room
- Ensuring all supplies are stocked.

The contractor must use certified Green Products and purchase supplies from Blind Industries and Services of Maryland (BISM) when available. All work must comply with applicable Federal, State, and City regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 24 months with an estimated total payment not to exceed $50,000.

The services will be performed at the MDOT SHA Denton Maintenance Shop located at 508 Caroline Street, Denton, Maryland 21629.
