Janitorial Services Bid Opportunity for Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery

Background
The Department of Veterans & Military Families is soliciting bids for janitorial services at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery. This cemetery serves as a final resting place for veterans, National Guard, Reservists, and their eligible dependents. The contract aims to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the cemetery facilities, reflecting the respect owed to those interred there.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide comprehensive janitorial services at Cheltenham State Veterans Cemetery, including but not limited to:

- Weekly cleaning of the Chapel/Shelter, Administration Building, and Maintenance Shop;
- Bi-annual deep cleaning;
- Trash removal;
- Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms;
- Vacuuming carpeted areas;
- Dusting and mopping floors;
- Maintaining cleanliness in all specified areas.

The contractor must furnish all necessary supervision, labor, equipment, materials, and supplies to perform these services. Additionally, they must adhere to Maryland's Green Purchasing requirements by using environmentally preferable products.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a base period of three (3) years with no option periods.

Cheltenham State Veterans Cemetery located at 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, Maryland 20623.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be certified small business vendors under the Small Business Reserve Procurement program. They must have at least three (3) years of experience in providing similar services and possess all necessary licenses and insurance. Bidders are required to submit documentation including copies of licenses, insurance certificates, and references from previous contracts.
