Janitorial Services

Background
The State of Maryland, through the Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA), is issuing an Invitation for Bids (IFB) to procure janitorial services for its Headquarters Complex. The contract will be awarded to a certified small business vendor meeting the statutory requirements set forth in State Finance and Procurement Article, §§14-501 —14-505, Annotated Code of Maryland, and certified by the Governor’s Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs (GOSBA) Small Business Reserve Program.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide janitorial services for the MDA Headquarters Complex, including two buildings: Administration and Laboratory Wing and its Motor Pool and Greenhouse. The services include daily, weekly, semi-annual, and annual cleaning for various areas within the complex such as carpeted areas, vinyl tile areas, restrooms, and concrete flooring. The contractor must also provide necessary equipment for the performance of the contract and employ adequate personnel including a working on-site supervisor, daytime porters, and custodial crew. The State will provide a State Project Manager responsible for overseeing the project.

Period of Performance
The contract duration is 1 year from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The primary place of performance is at the Maryland Department of Agriculture Headquarters Complex located at 50 Harry S Truman Parkway, Annapolis, Maryland 21401.
