Background
The Maryland Insurance Administration (MIA) is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) to procure Zscaler, a network security platform aimed at enhancing the security of their data and employees. The MIA has identified weaknesses in their current cybersecurity environment and aims to implement a cloud-based solution that reduces overhead expenses associated with maintaining physical equipment.

The project will provide best-in-class security through the establishment of a Zero-Trust architecture.

Work Details
The contract involves procuring 250 Zscaler Licenses for Users Business Prime, specifically for GovCloud Moderate ZIA Transformation, ZPA Business, and ZDX Advanced Licenses. The services include:

A. ZIA - Protects web traffic for users outside the corporate network and ensures compliance with security policies;
B. ZDX - Monitors user devices to detect experience and productivity issues;
C. ZPA - Enables secure access to enterprise applications from outside the corporate network.

The implementation will address issues identified in the NIST CSF Maturity Assessment Report, providing security across all devices including laptops, cell phones, and tablets.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon execution and will cover a period of three years.

The primary place of performance is the Maryland Insurance Administration located at 200 St. Paul Place, Suite 2700, Baltimore, Maryland 21202.
