Intersection Improvements

Background
The City of Hagerstown, Maryland is issuing a contract for intersection improvements aimed at enhancing traffic flow and safety. The project is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act and requires compliance with federal regulations. The goal is to upgrade existing infrastructure at specified intersections, ensuring accessibility and improved traffic signal operations.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Maintenance of traffic;
- Demolition and removal of existing concrete curb, sidewalk, signal poles, footings, handholes, and storm drains;
- Installation of new traffic signal poles, pedestrian signal poles, footings, handholes, wiring, conduit;
- Construction of concrete curb and sidewalk including ADA compliant ramps;
- Installation of storm drain structures and piping;
- Upgrades to traffic signals including pedestrian signal heads and APS pushbutton systems with wiring;
- Pavement markings;
- Topsoil and turf establishment;
- Other related items necessary to complete the project as per the plans and specifications prepared by KCI Technologies.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a total length of One Hundred Eighty (180) working days, with Ninety (90) working days allocated per intersection.

Place of Performance
The work will be conducted at two intersections: Summit Ave. @ W. Antietam St. (Base Bid) and Salem Ave. @ West Side Ave. (Alternate Bid), both located in Hagerstown, Maryland.
