Howard County, Maryland is seeking a qualified contractor to provide and install electric vehicle charging stations and to offer on-call maintenance for these stations. The county currently has 69 electric vehicle charging stations installed, with 59 being ChargePoint models and 10 being EJ Ward models. The goal of the contract is to enhance the county's electric vehicle infrastructure.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the installation of new electric vehicle charging stations, replacement of existing equipment, and maintenance of current charging stations. Specific tasks include:
1. Installation of ChargePoint model 4021 (Level 2), ChargePoint model 250C (Level 3), EJ Ward model EVP2001 (Level 2), and EJ Ward model NAS 180SS (Level 3) charging stations.
2. Supply all necessary electrical components including breakers, conduits, cabling, junction boxes, mounting hardware, etc.
3. Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for installations.
4. Provide detailed proposals including site layouts and electrical drawings.
5. Perform general electrical services such as demolition, installation, repair, and maintenance of various electrical systems as needed.
6. Ensure compliance with local, state, and national safety standards.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence on or about October 1, 2025, for an initial term of one year with options to renew for five additional one-year periods at the discretion of Howard County.

The work will be performed at various locations throughout Howard County, Maryland.
