Harley-Davidson Certified Police Motorcycles

Background
The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the procurement of certified police motorcycles. The goal of this contract is to provide four new and unused Harley-Davidson certified law enforcement motorcycles to be utilized by the MDTA Police for law enforcement activities on major state highways and roadways.

Work Details
The contract involves the provision of four (4) Harley-Davidson 1982cc Road Glide Police motorcycles, which must meet specific requirements outlined in the IFB. Key specifications include:

- Frame: Heavy-duty construction with reinforced tubular steel design.
- Engine: 121VVT engine with a minimum displacement of 1982cc, equipped with electronic sequential port fuel injection.
- Transmission: Manual type with no less than six forward speeds.
- Brakes: Premium Brembo brake system with ABS.
- Suspension: Designed for optimum handling in law enforcement traffic areas.

Delivery must be FOB destination to the MDTA's specified location, including warranty documentation and Certificate of Origin upon delivery.

Period of Performance
The contract is for a one-time purchase, with delivery expected as specified in the bid submission.

Place of Performance
Delivery will take place at the Maryland Transportation Authority, 305 Authority Drive, Baltimore, Maryland 21222.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of three years of experience providing Harley-Davidson certified law enforcement motorcycles and must be authorized by Harley-Davidson to sell these motorcycles. A letter or certification from Harley-Davidson must be included in the bid submission. Additionally, there are no specific minority business enterprise (MBE) or veteran-owned small business (VSBE) participation goals stated.
