Fiscal Review Grant Applicant Financial Documents

Background
The Maryland Community Health Resources Commission (CHRC) is an independent agency within the Maryland Department of Health. The CHRC is seeking independent reviewers to evaluate the financial strength of grant applicants for the FY 2025 Request for Applications (RFA). The evaluations will help determine which applicants are invited to present their proposals in April 2025, based on their financial stability and sustainability.

Work Details
The Contractor will review financial audits, tax returns, and/or financial statements submitted as part of grant applications. CHRC staff will guide the Contractor on the number of records to review. Deliverables include:

1) An individual application scoring sheet for each proposal reviewed via Smartsheet;

2) A concise assessment of the financial strengths and weaknesses of each applicant proposal reviewed, along with questions for each applicant to address via Smartsheet.

The Contractor may also be required to attend meetings with CHRC staff and a Review Committee, which may occur virtually or at a designated location.

Period of Performance
The contract term is from January 27, 2025, to April 30, 2025. Evaluations must be submitted by February 13, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will primarily take place in Annapolis, Maryland, where the CHRC is located.
