Fertilizer/Lime Spreader , Newton Crouch Model 47

Background
The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is issuing this small procurement solicitation to acquire two units of the Fertilizer/Lime Spreader, specifically the Newton Crouch Model 47.

The DNR's mission includes managing agricultural lands on Wildlife Management Area (WMA) properties, which requires timely coordination of various practices annually. This procurement aims to enhance their capabilities in soil management and habitat initiatives.

Work Details
The contract involves the delivery of two (2) units of the Fertilizer/Lime Spreader, Newton Crouch Model 47, with the following specifications:
- 2024 or newer model
- 6 Ton capacity
- Heavy duty tandem axle pull type spreader
- Capable of spreading both fertilizer and lime
- Bolt-on hull
- Stainless steel body made from 304 material with full-length stainless tubing
- Dimensions: 9 feet in length and 90 inches in width
- Built-in sight window
- SRT roll tarp with ridge pole and low profile end caps
- 24-inch reinforced stainless clinched conveyor chain
- Heavy duty stainless spin dishes (24 inches diameter, 3/16 inch thick) with six 1/4 inch thick blades each
- Heavy duty spinner motors with a shaft size of 1.25 inches and a flow rate of 16 gallons per minute.

Other features include a stainless steel chute screw, bearings, chute coupling, trailer frame constructed with 6-inch tubing, Herculiner applied to the top of the trailer frame, safety chains, rear taillights, and a Category 3 clevis/pintle hitch. The paint color is blue. Delivery is included.

Period of Performance
The delivery of the spreaders is due by December 11, 2024. All work must begin within 30 days of the Notice to Proceed or receipt of a signed Purchase Order/Blanket Purchase Order.

The delivery location for the equipment is Wellington WMA Field Office, #32733 Dublin Road, Princess Anne, MD 21853.
