The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) to procure elevator services, specifically preventative maintenance and repairs for the hydraulic passenger elevator located at SHA Headquarters Complex at 211 E. Madison St, Baltimore, MD 21202. The goal of this contract is to ensure the vertical transportation systems and related equipment are maintained in good working order over a period of three years.
Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive preventative maintenance and repair services for the hydraulic passenger elevator at SHA HQ. This includes:
- Providing a licensed technician for vertical transportation systems.
- Performing scheduled systematic examinations, adjustments, cleaning, and lubrication of all machinery, machinery spaces, hoist ways, and pits.
- Maintaining a stocked service truck with necessary materials and tools.
- Conducting safety inspections and tests as mandated by Maryland’s DLLR.
- Responding to emergency service calls within specified timeframes (routine within 48 hours; emergency within 3 hours).
- Providing all parts, supplies, materials, labor, supervision, tools, equipment, insurance, and permits necessary for maintenance services.
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, local codes and regulations.
Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of three (3) years (36 months), starting from the date of award.
