Dual Language Consultant

Background
Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) is one of the fastest growing counties in Maryland, serving over 27,765 students across 38 schools and seven educational centers.

The mission of CCPS is to provide an academically challenging education that builds character and prepares students for life. The goal of this contract is to implement a Dual Language Program aimed at improving the learning experiences of Multilingual Learners (MLs) by focusing on their communicative abilities in Spanish.

Work Details
The selected Offeror/Proposer will provide dual language consulting services to guide the implementation of CCPS’ Dual Language Program. This includes ongoing teacher training on topics identified by CCPS’ Office of Teaching and Learning.

The consultant will help engage MLs in learning content in both English and Spanish, maximizing their potential as multilingual citizens.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period is one year from the date of the Notice of Award, with options for four additional one-year renewals based on performance and mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within Charles County Public Schools, La Plata, Maryland.
