DGS-23-304-IQC Indefinite Quantity Contract to Provide Electrical Work & Related Services

Background
The Department of General Services (DGS) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to establish Indefinite Quantity Contracts (IQC) for electrical work and related services for multiple construction projects.

The objective is to select on-call contractors to provide all labor and materials for projects on a fixed price basis. The anticipated duration of services under this contract is five years with two one-year renewal options. The DGS intends to make multiple awards per region, specifically in the Central, Eastern, Southern, and Western regions of Maryland.

Work Details
The contract will cover a range of electrical work and related services including but not limited to: installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems; provision of all necessary labor and materials; compliance with applicable codes and regulations; and project management services as required.

Contractors must be capable of fulfilling all service requirements directly or through subcontractors while remaining responsible for overall contract performance. The DGS will issue Purchase Order Requests for Proposals (PORFPs) as needs arise, which will include specific scopes of work and pricing requests.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon signing by the Department following any required approvals and will last for five years, with the possibility of two additional one-year extensions at the discretion of the Department.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in various locations across four designated regions in Maryland: Central Region, Eastern Region, Southern Region, and Western Region.
