Background
The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for consultant assistance to perform comprehensive Construction Management and Inspection (CMI) Services for the Francis Scott Key Bridge Reconstruction.

Work Details
The selected consultant firm(s) will provide comprehensive CMI services, including but not limited to:
- Conducting constructability reviews
- Monitoring contractor performance
- Conducting detailed inspections of all construction work
- Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations
- Reviewing contractor safety programs
- Providing maintenance of traffic
- Scheduling progress meetings
- Conducting materials inspections and testing
- Coordinating utility contracts
- Monitoring project schedules including Critical Path Method (CPM)
- Reviewing shop drawings and responding to Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Providing on-site program management support
- Assisting with DBE compliance monitoring
- Preparing a final project report summarizing key milestones, contract compliance, problems encountered, and recommendations for improvement.
The firm must also supply qualified personnel to augment MDTA's construction management staff or may take complete responsibility for the Construction Management Team.
Period of Performance
The duration of the contracts will not exceed five years, with a total funding authority not exceeding $60 million.
