Background
The Maryland Port Administration (MPA), a modal administration of the Maryland Department of Transportation, is responsible for promoting waterborne commerce within the State of Maryland and managing, operating, and improving State-owned marine terminals at the Port of Baltimore and The World Trade Center Baltimore. The MPA is soliciting competitive sealed proposals from qualified contractors to furnish all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the Dundalk Marine Terminal Tidal Gates.

Work Details
The primary scope of this project addresses resiliency and flood mitigation at Dundalk Marine Terminal by introducing tidal protection devices at or nearby the outfalls of the terminal’s storm drain systems. Project components include 14 tidal water backflow prevention devices, removal and replacement of manhole structures to house backflow preventers, introducing outboard backflow preventers to the end of the storm drain systems, manhole improvements, rerouting of potable water mains, rerouting of storm drain pipes, replacement of storm drain pipes, new storm drain manholes, and all respective appurtenances.
The Work shall be performed at the Administration’s Dundalk Marine Terminal in Baltimore, Maryland.

Period of Performance
The contract awarded shall allow for 456 Calendar Days for the completion of all work under this contract.
