Background
The Maryland State Highway Administration (MDOT) is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the repair, installation, or replacement of traffic cable barriers along SB I-795 at Franklin Blvd. The goal of this contract is to address and repair guardrail damage in various locations within Baltimore County. This contract is open-ended and on-call, meaning that the specific locations for repairs will be determined as needed.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the installation, repair, or replacement of traffic cable barriers using NU-CABLE BARRIER SYSTEM PARTS. The work may extend to other maintenance shops in the district if mutually agreed upon due to extenuating circumstances. The contractor will also be compensated for mobilization costs when working in adjacent districts.

- 3/4" CABLE TURNBUCKLE
- NU-CABLE #4 X 6.00 GALV RIB-BACK POST
- Miscellaneous materials with an estimated total bid amount calculated based on unit prices.

Period of Performance
The contract period begins upon award and continues until December 31, 2026.

The work will primarily take place along SB I-795 at Franklin Blvd in Baltimore County, Maryland, with potential extensions to adjacent counties as needed.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have at least five years of experience in highway maintenance and be a certified Guardrail Installer on the Maryland Certified List of Contractors. There are no specific MBE or DBE participation goals established for this procurement.
